A variety of workshops are available to help your organization achieve its goals whether in board governance or audience development. Cheryl brings 37 years of experience in cultural programme delivery at the community and municipal level working with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations at professional and amateur levels. She has 28 years experience with volunteer boards of directors and excellent writing skills combined with an ability to gather information and present it in a condensed and clear manner.

Strategic Planning: Using Technology of Participation methods, we will build consensus within your group leading to ownership of the finished Strategic Plan and a renewed sense of purpose and commitment.

Marketing: The world is changing quickly and the methods for reaching your consumers or audience are rapidly expanding. Is it the method or the message that makes the difference? We will demonstrate how you will have more success through communicating your organization’s values.

Board Governance: What are the expectations of a Board member? How do you recruit, train and retain volunteers at the Board level? We can custom design a workshop to meet the needs of your organization.

Risk Assessment: What can you do to minimize risk? We will take you through a session to identify and prioritize potential risks to your organization whether for a special event or daily activities. As a group you will design a risk management plan and put into place a process for keeping on top of it.

Event / Project Planning: Whether for fundraising, marketing or as part of daily activities there are approaches that will increase your success rate. Learn some of the tricks of the trade.

Developing a Presenting Series: Thinking of bringing the performing arts to your community? We will guide you through all aspects including budgeting, artist negotiations and contracting, marketing and committee development.

Attracting an Audience and Keeping Them: Where do you find your audience? How do you bring them to your activity? How do you keep them and grow them – in numbers and in programming interest? These are the essential elements of presenting.
